For months (years?) we've had an issue that only got worse lately: roguebasin (the #roguelike wiki) was being hit by automated traffic far beyond what its server could hold. I finally got to setup cloudfare and some apache rules, and it is MUCH better now, blazing fast! roguebasin.com

Worst mistake a gamedev can do is to stop playing games. Just - don't. (100% guilty of this). You just lose the grip on the reality and miss the mark on what you should aim to do.
