JD Vance dismisses Young Republicans who in a group chat said "I love Hitler" and joked about slavery and rape as "a bunch of kids" who "told stupid jokes" and adds that "most of the stupid things I did when I was a teenager and young adult, they're not on the internet."

And this definitely varies by race and gender, but for straight, white guys? It's a brotherhood, and probably the only community they have. What were his "childish" ideals in the face of his brothers? And they've made that insularity all of our problems

My dad was twenty and trying to manage an accidental baby on the way (me) and applied all over for police and fire jobs, and after 34 years as a cop, you'd never know the guy who dreamed of being a public defender (!). Financial precarity is a deliberate part of the recruiting strategy

This is infuriating. She excuses the orders as "preliminary," but that's an argument for applying settled law or preserving the status quo. Allowing POTUS to disregard Congressional appropriations and fire independent agency heads are neither, they're a radical restructuring of Constitutional order.
