Trond Lindholm jokes about how he had a midlife crisis when turned 50, and went down the street photography route. Now he's doing what he calls «people photography»: youtu.be/A4cUQgsb274

I just posted a video in my serie «Photographers of Oslo». This time it is about Nicolas Levy and his photo project on Bygdøyfergene (the Bygdøy ferries) in Oslo, Norway

Nicolas Levy explains why he doesn’t shoot in hiding—he’s there with the person, sharing the moment, building the photograph together.

Part of my ongoing project «Photographers of Oslo». The full video with Nicolas Levy will be out soon on YouTube!

Every time I use an LLM, I always say «thank you» and «please» when interacting with it – like it is a human being.
Last sunday here in Oslo, Tamima Nibras Juhar was murdered by a far right activist. Today people gathered to remember her and take a stance against racism and violence, and the far right.
I bought a zine from a friend yesterday. He signed it.

Fant 50 eurocent på bakken. Fy faen, nå kan det gå bare en vei!
Walked outside of Stortinget where Vebjørn Bjelland Berg was being thrown out by the police. He is on a hunger strike to get the norwegian government to start phasing out oil and gas. This is day 21 on hunger strike.

- Buy a camera that has at least 40 megapixels. 24 megapixels is too low for anything other than social media!

Hyperbole, yes, but they summarize all the «rules» I've heard through the years.
- Without weather sealing, your camera will be ruined if it is foggy outside!

- Never shoot horisontal images. Instagram is made for vertical content!
(3/4)
- Never shoot APS-C when doing professional stuff. It will be too noisy and you can't blur the background!

- Never set your lens aperture higher than f/11. If you do, the diffraction will ruin your photos!

What people have told me on how to do photography: 👇

- Never have a black or a white point in your image. You should be able to see the spots on the sun and Satan himself in the blackest depths of hell!

- Never shoot higher than the base ISO. If you do, you’ll ruin your photos with noise!

Jeg tenkte litt sånn i starten med foto, men så kom jeg på hvorfor jeg holder på med denne hobbyen. Jeg gjør det for den viktigste personen i livet mitt: meg selv
Old camera gear boxes are pretty nice to look at
A little more context: The police say that up to 100K people participated. This is a record attendance following the 2022 religious terrorist incident targeting queer people. This small religious group was (and is) in an extreme minority.
During the Oslo Pride Parade yesterday, a small gaggle of religious people had set up a «counter protest». They shouted their special brand of religious love at the parade and the onlookers, only to be drowned out by the sound of the parade and people cheering it

My photo collective arranged a disposable camera photo walk. Here are some of the shots I got that were decent

Hver morgen jeg står opp, hører jeg naboens mobilalarm dundre avgårde i 30-40 minutter. Forstår ikke. Bare en fugl på taket fiser, våkner jeg
I made a video with street photographer Connor Bryan about how – and why – you should make a handmade photo book.
It's not just about paper and tape, but about spending time with your own photos.
