i flip between "let's include all of it!" and "let's curate a small handful", and keep running into the roadblock of "you have to polish all these at least a little don't you...?"

though, "A New Kind of Love" by frou frou is noticeably unpolished, yet they released it anyway, so maybe it's fine

i'm writing another album that isn't a concept piece like my last one, but it seems like it will need more songs before it coalesces into a cohesive body of work. in the mean time i have all these demos rotting on my hard drive from 2016-2023, so at some point i should figure out how to release that

look, nothing can truly replace macOS for me. from ableton to file management, it's simply essential.

but after using my iPad in a keyboard case for 6 months as a "casual" computer, i took my real laptop out with me instead, and had a horrifying realization

iPadOS 26 is such a downgrade for people who like to use their iPad as an iPad and not a MacBook with extra steps, a basic split-screen should never take this many steps

fullmetal alchemist brotherhood is 10/10 except for the part where they skip over Izumi Curtis’ training arc and just expect you to like, know all that stuff already. “you can transmute without a circle like teacher!” thanks for the reference to the woman shown for 3 seconds at that point

macOS is my bread & butter for getting work done fast and reliably but my iPad is still my favorite computer just because it’s more fun to use

iPadOS leaves a lot to be desired wrt multitasking, but it’s hyper optimized for jumping in & out of single fullscreen apps. i grab it first for most things
