Jene has told me more than once about the time three generations of women in her family swooned in unison over a D’Angelo music video (“Untitled (How Does It Feel”, of course), including both aunts and her grandmother. I‘m sorry for their loss.

I loved following DS's Facebook page updates, if only to see him or whoever represented him jump in to remind page users DREW STRUZAN IS RETIRED HE JUST WANTS TO SHARE HIS WORK. That made it a little more poignant, just a trip down memory lane that periodically included deep cuts for their own sake.
