FWIW @stephruhle.bsky.social, your friend & mine,
@johnfugelsang.bsky.social just had his new book on the NYT & LAT bestseller's list for 4 weeks.

It got there in large part because of left-leaning talk programming listeners.

So, yes - there's plenty of market there.

@11thhourmsnbc.bsky.social @stephruhle.bsky.social Even if you'd asked Bob Pittman why iHeart has squelched left-leaning talk for more than a decade, he wouldn't tell you the truth.

And it has nothing to do with money or interest…

Anyone know why @andreforatlanta.com is denying a legitimate permit for #NoKings?

Would love to hear why.

That, I don't know. Yet.

Will see what I can find out.

Thanks.

Pull something else from the past - or from Illinois - because there's no policy debates going on in DC right now, at last, not in this Congress.

Hell, first this Congress would actually have to show up for work.

I thought they said it was wrong for an administration to ask a social media platform to take stuff down.

Congressional Democrats marched to Mike Johnson’s office demanding that he swear in Democrat Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva, who would become the crucial 218th signature on the discharge petition to release the Epstein files.

And even if that speech comes from those visiting the U.S.

(shakes head) JFC, @lacaldwelldc.bsky.social - please don't play that naive.

Even if Repubs have a *horrible* hand - and they do - they're NOT going to tell you, a journalist, anything other than that they're "strong" & "united," even though we know that's BS.

As the intensity of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown has risen, residents of Chicago are increasingly pushing back. Federal agents repeatedly have been observed releasing smoke bombs, tear gas and pepper balls to disperse residents who gather or capture videos.
ICE Is Cracking Down on Chicago. Some Chicagoans Are Fighting Back.
Residents have begun forming volunteer groups to monitor their neighborhoods for federal immigration agents. Others honk their horns or blow whistles when they see agents nearby.

RESULTS: voters in Oklahoma City have passed all 11 ballot measures that make up this package—unlocking $2.7 billion across hundreds of projects. All measures up by gigantic margins.

A set of elections to watch today: Oklahoma City residents are deciding whether to finance $2.7 billion in projects and services, a big chunk to street projects but also large pots for other purposes like funding parks.

Oh, I think Lonny’s doin’ ok.

After all, while @theshebeen.bsky.social may change his greeting to @jodyhamilton.bsky.social, Lonny can *always* deliver “The Politics Bar” in *THAT* tone. 😜

*10/14/2025 noncooperation thread*

Up in #2, I talked about planning what you'll wear on Sat if you're going to a #NoKings event; Indivisible has started encouraging us to wear yellow (see ⬇️).

So maybe wear yellow! (Yesterday I said I didn't even OWN anything yellow; today I remembered I do!)
