Well, now we’re all a bit more fully here, I should really pin my Burger King menu post from the other place.
Caption: The Burger King menu makes no sense. It shows a picture of the board with train times in front of a Burger King outlet. The same post, but shared by Burger King Uk with their caption “Let me get a Scarborough with a side of thirsk”
Had a pint in a pub with a parrot.

Well I never. Bumped into a couple of old friends at Leeds City Museum’s new ‘Music Leeds Us’ exhibition today.
Two Joseph’s Well signs from different eras at the new exhibition. The signs in the floor of the Joseph’s Well complex as they’re being rescued. My shoes are in shot. The dogs leaning against a wall in my hallway.
Blimey. My first time on vinyl. I only came in for a copy of The Best of The Beatles.
Back of a pretend record in a record rack showing my profile as Leeds Nomad. The full record rack with all the others in it. A close up of the front.
It will be nice to be reacquainted with my Joseph’s Well signs. The Leeds Goth Hall of Fame exhibition is also still on at the museum till the of the month. We have exciting plans for the next phase of Leeds Goth Hall of Fame.
I’m in an imaginary band called Squeeee and a real band called Motorway City, formed to soundtrack heritage projects. Today, I will be learning some of these piano sequences for the latter: youtu.be/6KWtv_cfetg?...

I’ll also be visiting the ace new Leeds music exhibition at Leeds City Museum.

Definitely! Wasn’t my event, but it’d be great to organise something. Working on lots of plans with Elizabeth, so we’ll keep you in the loop. JFK is also very interested in doing more things. BTW, a big Leeds Music Exhibition at the city museum opened today. Well worth a visit if you’re passing.
Just stop it 🛑
Made some new stickers yes I did yes I did
Thanks! Great to be able to cross the Pennines and spread the word.
A journey that started with a book by @johnrobbofficial.bsky.social finally reached the north west.

A privilege to be among great panelists at the Manchester Big Cities Conference talking about Leeds goth heritage.

Such an enjoyable session, chaired by the lovely legend @davehaslam.bsky.social.
View of the audience from the stage. Slide on large screen advertising the session. The exterior sign of Halle St Peter’s. A rose stained glass window.
Thank you! Fingers crossed it goes ok.
I wasn’t going to do the pin badge as well, but it now seems I am.
Smiley Leeds design mocked up as an enamel pin badge.
Cheers! Talks are great, but I sense the chat format might be more my thing and something to do more of down the line. Dave is a really nice guy. Looking forward to it.
Two other lovely city storytellers and heritage folk, with Dave Haslam as chair.
I’m on a panel in Manchester on Thursday afternoon talking about Leeds goth things, and it makes me very happy.
And, if they’re called Smileeds (they are), then I wonder what these are called. Ghostleys? Scareys?
A white acid house smiley with a stitched mouth.
Anyway, the stickers and fridge magnets are here.
Smiley acid house stickers with the word LEEEEEEEEEDS as its mouth.
Maybe buying a copy of all the releases featured in the 1984 edition of the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles might be a bit expensive and take longer than I’d originally thought. Anyway, I’ve made a start.
The book with a 7” of Kim Wilde’s Kids in America.
I realise now that I should have pretended I was the Coca-Cola Kid.
