Q: SNAP has never out of funding in its history. Why were past administration able to find funding to keep it afloat during a shutdown & you can't?

Having to direct 2 kids who could hardly see anything while my husband pushed me in the wheelchair was a lot.

And it doesn't help that one of the kids is mostly deaf in one ear and can't hear much when there's other sounds happening.

They were all so cute, though.

My kids usually make their own costumes for Halloween. Partly because who/what they choose isn't something that can be found in stores, partly because they enjoy making them.

We have determined, however, that masks/heads made just from cardboard are no longer permitted because of sight obstruction.

We went to Joann last year and I had ever intentions of making them last year, but fatigue doesn't care.

If I'm feeling super ambitious tomorrow perhaps I can get them made. (But not making promises.)

Then we had to use the few credit cards I had to just live, so they got maxed out fast (low limits).

Then I couldn't pay for my credit card payments, so I'm so screwed.

We can't pay for our basics, either.

Buying food for my household isn't simple. Since I have so many food allergies and restrictions I cannot eat what my family eats.

That means we have to spend even more on different foods just for me. And what's more, the food for me is so much more expensive because it's "special" food.

Ah, ok, that is something I wouldn't have known to look for. I'm on medicaid currently, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is not allowed (but I'll check).

My insurance has repeatedly denied occipital nerve blocks. My doctor said only about 30% of doctors fight denials & he encouraged me to get involved with it, too.

I'm so damn tired from doing my everyday stuff & the thought of adding more stressful work is daunting.

How did you find the energy?
