I wouldn't be too shocked if we ended up getting voice acting for Gen 10, though. Honestly, after how good the Switch 2 version of ZA looks most of the time, it's giving me a bit of hope for Gen 10 when that releases.

Some of the cutscenes in ZA are so well done with great animation, set dressing, and camera work that I think the lack of voice acting kind of shows in those scenes. There's only been like, two scenes so far where I think it would be justified, but it was a noticeable absence in those cases

I've pretty consistently been one to think that Pokemon doesn't need voice acting - I think voice acting is largely unnecessary and hasn't impacted the quality of things given the largely canned animations in cutscenes - but with the really nice and well animated cutscenes of ZA, my mind is changing
