That's not the case..as @johnswinney.bsky.social said in his speech" a majority of indy msp's should be enough , but it's not, we need a majority government with a mandate from the electorate for another indyref as happened in 2011" Reckon he knows more about it than you eh 😉

Nope, we need a majority government with a mandate for an indyref as in 2011. Facts prove that both votes to @snp.org will give us a majority , we need the list votes, currently polling at just 30%
sheilzz.bsky.social
Suicide to not vote in a majority @snp.org government. Minority governments have no clout/mandate for an indy ref. #BothvotesSNP

Scotland faces a choice: continued decline with Westminster, or hope and ambition with independence.

Let’s build that better Scotland, together.

In 2021, their constituency vote increased to 47.6%, but the regional vote dropped to 40.3%.

At the same time the green regional vote increased from 87K to 220K, and alba took 45K.

If you were to reallocate those increases back to the SNP, they would have got 70 seats in 2021.
sheilzz.bsky.social
What rubbish! You are voting for a minority Scottish government...that's clever 😅
sheilzz.bsky.social
I have faith in @johnswinney.bsky.social and if @snp.org gains a majority government in 2026, then he will use the mandate given to him by the Scottish electorate, to hold an indyref as in 2011👍A minority government has absolutely no power to call for an indyref.Don't split the vote #BothvotesSNP

Current polls: SNP 34% constituency, 30% list, Labour 23%/22%; Reform 18%
SNP needs about 44% list support (with 34% constituency) to reach 65 seats for a majority. Both votes SNP works if list backing rises above current levels.
sheilzz.bsky.social
2011 RESULT: Both votes SNP = Constituency victories + strong list support = 69 seats (majority)

If SNP voters had split their list vote, the majority would have been lost
sheilzz.bsky.social
I understand that, but those 2 seats could be the diffirence between a majority SNP government with a mandate for an indy ref, or a minority government that wastemonster will just laugh at. We need to put up with the unionists until we are independent, and then get shot of the lot of them.

John Swinney will lead the SNP into the next election seeking a mandate one to transform Scotland for the long term.

A fairer economy. Stronger public services. A confident, independent Scotland. #SNP25

I'm fully understand the voting system thanks👍 We need list votes to get a majority SNP government, and no one is disputing that fact.
2011: Both votes SNP = Constituency victories + strong list support = 69 seat majority. If SNP voters had split their list vote, the majority would have been lost.
sheilzz.bsky.social
Actually it is, if we want independence, that's where you are failing.
sheilzz.bsky.social
Minority governments have no clout, that's all you really need to know. We need a majority government and the only way to get that is SNP 1&2. Jings you guys are a unionist dream..let's split the @snp.org votes everyone......yippee 😳😅😕
sheilzz.bsky.social
The SNP and Greens were an official coalition, not sure what you mean ??
sheilzz.bsky.social
Nope the objective must be a MAJORITY government with a mandate for an indyref. The only way to achieve that is for everyone to vote SNP in the constituency and SNP in the list. If everyone did that, we'd see the same result as 2011 .We've had a coalition with the greens.
How did that work out ???
