because we regret those times and feel ashamed of that past, but like you said that knowledge helps us ID red flags so we can recognize the BS and call it out.

Ultimately I just think it’s noteworthy that people preaching love and tolerance will, say, take a queer person’s job and remain silent when accountability is requested.

Or lie to cover up their behavior.

Or queerbait their fandom into supporting them while disapproving of homosexuality

when you think about it many religious leaders of the Christian branches aren't so different from the Sanhedrin from Christ's time, the people who were supposed to shepherd the faith instead became corrupt, then Jesus tried to teach a new way, and they hated him for questioning what was scripture

This isn’t me saying “Christian = bad” but when you examine the circumstances and the fact that these actors make their religion a big part of their identity, I can’t help but wonder how those Christian ideals match up to their behavior and how much of it merely excuses it.

What is the commonality between all of these cases? Aside from them all being in the same game, obviously.

They’re all openly Christian. One of them is even a jehova’s witness.

So when you see people like Dr Ratio’s actor saying “many VAs feel the same,” I think you should be concerned about that.

Earlier this year a cis actor took a striking non-binary performer’s role in Honkai Star Rail. When there was outcry he remained silent.

Another Hoyo actor then came forward and insisted “he knows nothing about the strike or SAG,” which I learned in private from the scab’s friends was a lie.

Recently the voice actor for Dr Ratio in Honkai Star Rail came out in support of Charlie Kirk and his ideals, and when saying this he added in one of many posts that “many fellow VAs feel the same.”

Some actors have hand waved this statement as bullshit.

But I do think it’s important to examine.

I know so many people who would never dream of putting their handle to an X account but are perfectly OK with Substack. Not judging, just puzzled. It's obviously a hugely popular and lucrative platform and has some great contributors who do amazing work. BUT ... it still enables Nazis and fascists.

and for that matter I know it wasn't long before HB got its series going after its pilot aired, at least not compared to lackidaisy
