In 2018 there were roughly 500,000 podcasts in existence. Just 3 years later that number was 2 million. Today it's around 4 million.

Amid all the Squarespace ads there's citations to research.

The thing that makes me most suspicious is the whole "now its all over" attitude and that Gazans are not being brought to the table but being told how they will be governed & what their future holds. A short term fix is good as long as there is movement towards long term & I don't see that really.

Rainy day project: Sy & I made lemony blondies with a lemon sumac glaze from Jake Cohens new cookbook. Sy learned how to zest and spreading a glaze evenly (he even made up a song about spreading). They are delicious, especially if you like lemon.

I love the Jewish Food Society bc they do an amazing job of celebrating the way Jews have lived all around the world and mixed their cultures through food (their cookbook is fantastic!).

We put up our sukkah this past weekend and then decorated it with some lights and corn and whatnot. And this is where we eat for the week!

Mourning those murdered by Hamas isn't incompatible with mourning those murdered by the Israeli state.

Demanding that the hostages return isn't incompatible with naming & demanding an end to genocide.

Naming the power imbalance & impact thereof doesn't desecrate those murdered two years ago today.

I was at a dinner recently and mentioned how as soon as we can (adoption is complex) we are getting Aviva a passport in case we need it. Our friends could not understand why we would need it or want an exit plan & it was honestly a frustrating conversation for me & Nate.
