Imagine getting 170 people who aren't trying to get to Israel, taking them by force into Israel, then telling them they have no right to be in Israel and deporting them. Far from the worst thing Israel has done recently, but certainly one of the stupidest-looking.
It's weird how, in just a few years, the debate has moved from "is immigration good or bad?" to "how should we deal with this awful immigration problem?", without any actual significant shift in people's opinions. It's all down to the media's framing, which is why articles like this are so rare

I remember that GTA mission: "Always looking for his next heist, Kier hatches a plan to steal the rights of the most vulnerable people in the country. This will be like taking candy from a baby..."
It would be super interesting to learn who has been shorting Kenvue (who make #Tylenol) shares lately. Surely not anyone with ties to the Trump admin. That would be immoral and illegal.
An early attempt at a golf ball, before they realised that they've been doing the dimples inside out?
Feels like UK govt are preparing a convoluted defense for the Hague, "look if I thought we were assisting in a genocide, would I really go out of my way to recognise the victim as an independent sovereign state?"

"…the workers were in the US temporarily, helping to build an electric car battery plant run by … Hyundai and LG".

Hmn. Now why on earth would a president bankrolled by Tesla's owner want to disrupt this project – oh wait, something just occurred to me…

I suspect one likely difference between Kyle and the US shows he emulated is he'd constantly tell people with kids they can't look after to "put something on the end of it!", a message to which the Catholics may take umbrage. Anyway Kyle's an awful shit... Rinder is a decent guy by all accounts

Mind you, what about all the effigies of individuals about whom people are largely ambivalent? Must be very boring for them, just hanging around, zero attention paid to them. Bet they're secretly hoping to suddenly find themselves at the centre of a geopolitical crisis

Just watched an #ICE raid on Sky News. Awful, of course, but there's something incongruous about the fact they were all driving Hyundai and Lexuses while kidnapping anyone who looks remotely foreign. If you're going to be xenophobic, at least do it right.
Trump was a joke until the media started taking him seriously. Same over here in the UK with Boris Johnson and then Farage. Vance met with Murdoch at the latter's mansion a few weeks ago, just before the Epstein chat started up in earnest again. Wonder why... Murdoch is the kingmaker *dons tinfoil*
Not to get all Kent Brockman "I for one welcome...", but I'll boycott the US for it's human rights abuses before China. I saw an "exposé" of conditions and pay at Shein factories and honestly I've had worse jobs that paid less on UK farms. Still not good but that's global capitalism not China.
Looks like two new Pokémon just dropped
It is remarkable how Donald Trump's base is entirely people who up to 10 years ago hated/feared two things more than anything else: Russia, and paedophiles. And somehow he has got them rallying behind both now. Genuinely impressive. Awful, terrible, but yeah - wow.
I heard the owls in Washington State are not what they seem...

(Beautiful pic btw)
Exactly! Take tarrifs - oh, scared of the free market all of a sudden are you? And I thought you were Republicans... Pathetic. Ayn Rand wouldn't touch you with someone else's 10ft pole, losers

I worry that my main motivation for being like this is not because it's wrong to hurt the pixels, but rather because deep down I have an overwhelming need for the pixels to like me.
That's why we should lock up billionaires. If people might want to do something that hurts other people, eg stealing, you make that thing a crime to stop people doing it.
The wonderful Fran Lebowitz, one of my favourite human beings, in The Observer today "Human beings are not good enough for Socialism." This has long been my view. It's a great idea in theory but we're just not sufficiently evolved as a species to enact it.
You mean the Worst and Most Criminally Corrupt blockage EVER in the History of the United States of Awesomerica, caused by Sleepy Joe, Crooked Hillary, Covfefe Kamala and their Army of DANGEROUS RADICAL LEFT EVIL TERRORIST-POOPERS to DESTROY our Great Cubicle and install Woke urinals

Why are Labour further right socially and economically than Cameron/Osborne-era Tories? The Overton Window hasn't shifted that much; your party has. Where is your humanity, collective or personal? Criminalising refugees is not a win.
