Energy is kinda a zero sum game. X amount of green energy is being brought online and it can ether replace existing fossil fuel generation OR power new stuff. Also these people are frantically buying every gas turbine generator they can get their hands on right now to power their slop machines.

I don't think "SNAP is a subsidy to low wage employers" frame is useful or correct. It implies that, if SNAP did not exist, these companies would be forced to pay workers more when the actual situation is that low wage workers would get the same wages from these employers as now but be poorer

SNAP is kinda the poster child for good government spending. Every dollar that goes into it results in more than 1.5 dollars of economic activity AND hungry people get fed. Its both a moral good and fiscally smart.
