being upside down and inside of a curve (in a tube) and upside down but outside of a curve (on a sphere) require pretty vastly different strategies to map player intent to character movement and it's making my head hurt

when I say puppy truck has literally been at least 3 different games I mean it. pictured below is an earlier concept with the character controller wherein you played an ambulance, climbing buildings and dodging traffic to get people to the hospital (relatively) safely
