Now there's a fun placemat! Sure beats the alphabet.

Whoa, lots of lip balm to boot 😁

Flight at Lamplighter in Cambridge, MA! Two stars: Queen Rabbit TIPA and Double Daydream DIPA. They're clear, so you think they'll be West-Coasty, but their pointedness comes less from the hops than from the grains themselves. A very interesting take, and I believe intentional. #BeerSky #BskyBeer

If you ever see Green Down To The Socks from Other Half, definitely try it. It's #2 on my Best New (To Me) Beers of 2025, because every time you sip it, you seem to get something different.

Now comes with free government shutdown!

Yah, love that Green series from Other Half!

Haven't had that in a while, but I should

A new brewery for me! It's Beer Tree Brew (Johnson City, NY) with Chromosphere NEIPA. The fruit is on the melon side and has a good vitality and depth to it, because they kept the volatile components intact. A little earthy undercurrent is there, but the fruit is the star. #BeerSky #BskyBeer

Good to see them pummel the Yankees like they did.

I inadvertently had my own Canada Day today because I ended up wearing a Blue Jays cap and a polo shirt featuring a Canadian company I once worked with.

More fall fun with Turkey Trotter Brown Ale from Berkshire Brewing Company (South Deerfield, MA). When pouring, you get a waft of bread-yeasty fermentation, and then the flavor is straightforward as described: hoppy brown. The two meld well together, and 7.5% lends some punch. #BeerSky #BskyBeer

Whoa, the Regal Beagle! You didn't happen to see Jack, Janet, and Chrissy down there, did you? 😀

I have a Fürsten Trunk Fest Beer from Hofbräuhaus Traunstein (Germany), on a (finally) Octoberlike evening in Boston. It doesn't strike me as super Fest-y, but more like a hoppy German lager or a pilsner. It's very light and crisp. Not that there's anything wrong with that. #BeerSky #BskyBeer

Hmm, didn't know there was a Tree House in Tewksbury!

I have a Slerp Terp Remix (450 North Brewing Co.; Columbus, IN), flavored with pineapple, cherry, grape & strawberry hard candy, watermelon hard candy, and banana hard candy. It’s not nearly as god-awful as I feared. The dense, not-too-sweet smoothieness is not a bad sensation. #BeerSky #BskyBeer

I'm headed inside for The Great British Baking Show, but for now I have Azaleas IPA from Belleflower Brewing Co. (Portland ME). Its fruit core has a deep center to it, like the fruit wants you to know it’s serious. I want to say I’m getting papaya or something along those lines. #BeerSky #BskyBeer

High of 85°F in Boston today. I grilled up some good steak and chicken, and with that a Cosmic Shift IPA from Lawson's Finest Liquids (Waitsfield VT).  More West-Coasty than New-Englandy (clearish, bitterish), it did have some random NE-like elements to it.  Overall not too bad. #BeerSky #BskyBeer

I've got a Daydream Believer West Coast-Style IPA from Lamplighter Brewing Co. (Cambridge, MA), a good match for a warm day. A straight-up WC flavor profile (“citrus and pine” — surprise!) and pretty solid. I’d say a true WCIPA would be just a bit sharper and crisper than this. #BeerSky #BskyBeer

I agree - that's a really good one. I can usually find it here in the Boston area, too.

I've opened a Blueberry Honey Ale from Timberyard Brewing Co. (East Brookfield MA). Grain, hops, blueberries, and honey were all sourced from Massachusetts! Both of its headline flavors come through very nicely, and at 8%, it's got a little zip to it. A uniquely tasty brew. #BeerSky #BskyBeer

Well, I'm convinced! I liked the vibe of the photo as well.

Close call, but this is the Beer I'd Most Like To Try on #BskyBeer today! Edged out the Scottish tayberry one.

Wow, I had forgotten all about Moosehead! Truthfully didn't know they still existed.

That's like stretching before your real exercises :)
