its kinda like that, a lot of base building and making it eventful with expeditions to bust up spider lairs or beefalos. it has some random event stuff but if you felt it was uneventful maybe the mods my friend loaded it with tick up the frequency. im in a constant death/rebirth cycle in that game

yeah, i think a really big part of it for me is that it starts layering in more tedious enemy types with physical/magical tolerance, more status effect attacks, and all shit and it makes fights longer and more obnoxious, AND if a certain combo hits and kills everyone, gotta start all over

its a lot like phantasy star online, youre just going to these randomly generated dungeons, theres a handful of reskinned floor shapes, fight the same monster groups over 3-4 floors, maybe a data bug fight, rinse and repeat for every person that emailed you a location

nearing the end of .hack quarantine and while i like these games and wanna see where the story is going, i think im starting to hate the gameplay loop lol

i really thought i was at the final boss, and then i got another round of invites to hit up dungeons and i really dont wanna do more dungeons
