The The's 'Soul Mining' was released #OnThisDay in 1983.

Born out of Matt Johnson's dreams and mental imagery amidst writer's block.

It remains a post punk classic with hints of synthpop and new wave, an exhilarating listen despite some challenging themes and ideas.

I'm playing A Moon Shaped Pool for the first time in far too long.

Having listened to over 600 new-to-me albums since the start of last year, it's all too easy to forget my old favourites.

This sounds every bit as good as I remember; if it's Radiohead's swansong, it's perfect.

G'mu! For a band comprised of two proven hit makers, Graham Gouldman and Andrew Gold, Wax were spectacularly unsuccessful. "Anchors Aweigh" was their third and final hit in the UK, a full two years after their only top 40 hit "Bridge To Your Heart", and only got to no.95. #OffTheChart #NoiseboxRadio
