But instead the fact that we elected a rapist. How have we regressed to such a low place that this has somehow become normalized? She was shaking. I just gave her a big hug and told her that we will be fine, remindes her of how strong she is, and told her somehow we will get through this.

Me either. Nor will I forget how my good friend responded to a rapist being elected President. As a rape victim, she understandably had a major panic attack & through tears, said the morning after the election, "Oh my God. A RAPIST is now our President." It enraged me for weeks. Not her reaction 1/

Right?!?! I have had nightmares recently which I know are directed related to all this. It blows my mind that we as a society continue to act like we aren't in danger, yet we are literally living in 1930s Germany.

The way I see it, we have no one in power looking out for us right now.

Ds in Congress wield a lot more influence and power than they want us to believe.

I am with Bernie on this. Both parties put their own dollars and careers above us, the people they are supposed to support and stand up for.

Can't remember what I read recently (maybe I subconsciously blocked it out), but there was something nefarious and violent going on in Chicago related to ICE and no one heard a peep from the governor. Sorry to hear that wasn't a one-off, but instead a pattern.
