You don't have to choose between being pro-US arms industry or pro-Russian arms industry. You can oppose both. Stalinism was certainly revisionist and adopted reactionary ideas, but to equate it to tzarism is also overly simplistic although very understandable from a Ukrainian perspective.

Corbyn is not pro-Russia, he was condemning Putin when Blair and other neoliberals were supporting his rise to power. The Soviet Union and Russia are not even remotely the same thing and Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union as much as Russia was. It's mostly just NazBols who are pro USSR and Russia

Apropos of nothing, once the President of the United States confirms covert CIA operations in a country… say, Venezuela, those operations are no longer covert.

When people talk about tankies today they mean anyone who is even vaguely left or anti-imperialist up to and including Corbyn, which is why I used him as an example. I get called a tankie all the time as an anarchist not for supporting authoritarians but just for opposing US and NATO imperialism
