I believe there is an uninterrupted continuum of state action that runs, by degree, from lawlessness to complete control. This is my application of the law’s concept of property as bundle of severable rights. The difference in economic systems is first & foremost the extent of state control.

This is bringing out a lot of people who refuse to entertain the possibility that their views are well outside those of voters.

One can absolutely believe ACAB, but you’d have to be self-deluded or dumb to believe it’s the majority view.

The percentage of Democrats who would blanche at the words ‘patriotic nonsense’ is surely over 70%. Only 11% of Democrats describe themselves as ‘not at all patriotic.’

lowering the threshold might be easier.

regardless, it’s clear the constitution is incapable of serving as the basis of the state moving forward. The institutions and culture that made it workable no longer exist & we can’t simply close Pandora’s box. But amendments are still easier.
