I apologize 😉
Come on now, you can't expect people to learn the full story before getting mad about it. This is the internet, they've got assumptions to make, priors to confirm, and virtue to display.
I believe there is an uninterrupted continuum of state action that runs, by degree, from lawlessness to complete control. This is my application of the law’s concept of property as bundle of severable rights. The difference in economic systems is first & foremost the extent of state control.
John Brown was both legitimately insane and on the correct side of history.
i married a woman who can drive stick and drive it well. this is mot a metaphor.
i think you may have jumped the shark w/ the Enterprise. Will ask wife in morning.
This is bringing out a lot of people who refuse to entertain the possibility that their views are well outside those of voters.

One can absolutely believe ACAB, but you’d have to be self-deluded or dumb to believe it’s the majority view.
‘After the war, I've pretty much stopped believing in any of the patriotic nonsense that got me there in the first place.’

The percentage of Democrats who would blanche at the words ‘patriotic nonsense’ is surely over 70%. Only 11% of Democrats describe themselves as ‘not at all patriotic.’

also, ‘I assert the odds are greater than 1 in 1,000,000 but I’m going to imply something far higher and meaningful’ is really on par for modern day journalists.
‘The odds that President Trump will be struck dead by a meteorite in the next 30 days are better than 1:1,000,000,000,000’ I say knowing full well that the statement is both true & meaning-less.

Blaming your autism is an interesting choice.
Claiming ‘X country has no culture’ is the height of arrogance, but maybe they’ve spent a lot of time there.
there it is… ‘the old people who won’t retire are putting their thumbs on the scale.’

Which in this case is a committee headed by Senators Gillibrand (58), Kelly (61), Schiff (65) & Rochester (63).
30 plus years of marriage, I know what she *DOESN’T* want. 🤣
even if it isn’t, there’s no real benefit to attacking them instead of the growing racist threats.
“Obama allowed Fox News and the GOP to lie non-stop to the American people…”

The Constitution pretty explicitly allows Fox News and the GOP to lie non-stop to the American people. So tell me what Obama should have done & why you believe it would have changed the world.
lowering the threshold might be easier.

regardless, it’s clear the constitution is incapable of serving as the basis of the state moving forward. The institutions and culture that made it workable no longer exist & we can’t simply close Pandora’s box. But amendments are still easier.
one day i’ll post something gooder and you’ll regret something. maybe.

Trump is upfront in saying he will use the shutdown to punish Democrats, and here are the receipts. About $27.2 billion cut from Dem districts compared to about $0.7 billion in GOP districts.
We all complain about the media, but need this type of in-depth journalism.

Trump Halts Billions in Grants for Democratic Districts During Shutdown (Gift Article)
The Trump administration has frozen or canceled nearly $28 billion primarily located in Democratic-led districts, according to an analysis by The New York Times.

The Democratic leader of the Senate is so powerful & crafty that he can manipulate the system to select specific candidates for the sole purpose of ensuring he doesn’t become Senate *majority* leader.
Any news obtained at a press conference is almost axiomatically ‘not news.’ It’s repeating the rehearsed lines of professional PR. Your question is not a gotcha. Your follow-up exists purely for your own camera time.
