Big Giant Redhead. Laughter and empathy > fear and hatred. Love New Mexico, mountains, art, critters, gardening, science, football, classical music & my funny wonderful family. I loathe the orange felon & his sycophants.

He has an appointment at the one in Tijeras. There's a fee there too but again, no lines.
Craig is renewing his license today as well. He just reached the age where it's now free but you have to go every year.
Chatted with the neighbors yesterday. We talked about a bunch of unrelated things happening all at once in the neighborhood on Saturday...a garage band practicing, a guy 4 wheeling, 3 fireworks going off, 4 emergency vehicles going by. This is what passes for excitement here out in the country. 😄
I'd recommend touching the one without BBQ sauce on it.
I'm enjoying the calm before the winds drift down here. We're supposed to get them this afternoon.

Why do they still go to lengths to make him look like a "character" instead of the demented ass he really is?
Oh it was. One of the few venues where people went to dance, not pick someone up. My favorite dance partner was much shorter than I am. His girlfriend didn't dance. I gave him a chance to change his mind when he asked me. I stood up, he shrugged and we danced our hearts out.
Unbelievable.

Well, sadly, it is believable. 😠
This takes me back to my college days when we spent Sunday evenings dancing to the Watermelon Jug Band at Pepino's on Central.

Every performance they would award random people kazoos.
I understand. We're pretty much there as well. Though things changed a bit when we decided to temporarily (permanently) take in my daughter's kittens.

I hope it gets easier for you over time.
Yep. Brilliant.

"I know, let's insult the demographic that has the heaviest turnout in elections!"
We got to the Tijeras rally about 45 minutes early to find parking and there were already people milling around. We lined historic 66 and enjoyed lots of honking and waves. We had a blast. The wind was the only bummer. I was OK in shirtsleeves but never thought to bring earmuffs.
