Local FOX affiliate: The same story as our hard-working tiny nonprofit @brooklinenews.bsky.social but with way less detail and nuance, and four days later (and no credit).

Find it hard to understand how some reporters can be so shitty about this. I guess you toss shame out the window to work in TV.

You want to put your steel box somewhere? Okay. I'd rather have a beer garden."

John Oliver on Bari Weiss and CBS is so good, and the perfect primer for those who might be thinking along the lines of "aren't people just mad at her because she's a contrarian female journalist?"

You can make basically anyone or any organization look bad with contextless screenshots of a few words. Consider if doing that is productive or if you're just making people mad to get your little social media dopamine hits

Folks it's a news article and a good one, it would be cool if people on bluesky would actually read the articles

NYT: A Campaign to 'Bring Back Bullying'

On social media, some are arguing that bullying deserves a second look. Trolling or not, the push seems to reflect a general turn away from sensitivity.

Loved this slice of life (death?) story from reporter Heather Beasley Doyle, which includes so many fascinating historical and contemporary facts about Brookline's public cemetery.

Like: Cremation is growing in popularity nationally, but most customers here still prefer full-body lots.

Brookline's only public cemetery turns 150 this month.

The cemetery, a burying ground for residents and town employees and a much-loved piece of nature in Brookline, is facing modern challenges -- including slowly waning space that requires careful management.

I kind of can’t believe this Bari Weiss quote is even real, and yet www.nytimes.com/2025/10/06/b...

Beyond infuriating to watch this serial misinformation account again take my reporting and skew it beyond recognition to suit a right wing agenda.

There is absolutely no indication that the man arrested shot "at" the temple or targeted jews, and our story does not state that.

I think the most appropriate response to the Bari Weiss CBS news is to double down on support for independent news outlets that aren't funded by billionaires and exist to serve communities and people, rather than those billionaires' ideological and financial gain
