Took me a minute to grasp, but this is how you use the new group enable checkbox in Godot.
The checkbox has to be its own export_custom variable right beneath the export_group variable.
Browsing comments on other people’s work related to what you’re working on is such a bad idea lol.
Ah yes, here comes the second guessing of self when a random stranger writes ”i’m glad you did this and not this*, it works better”.

*what i’m doing
Probably won’t see any nightmares about my own horror stuff.
But I am very on edge every night as I work on this lol.
It’s just that when I stare at and test something creepy in the dark, I get a liiiiiiittle paranoid as I try to fall asleep.
I remember thinking of this 3D mixed with that one creepy musical chairs minigame from another Moomin PC game.
Idk, my child mind just thought about the Groke just sliding into view and killing Little My by freezing if you failed the minigame, or eventually regardless for shock value.
I didn’t actually play too many 3D prerendered PC games back in the day, surprisingly.

My most fever dreamy memory is of this Moomin game I got to play in preschool. Definitely a style I want to explore sometime.
You and your art are worth more than the stupid social media numbers tell you.
In case you needed a reminder in this messy world and environment.
I'll be honest, every minute spent testing this thing feels like a fever dream because of the visual style I opted for, and I find jarring but silent scares better and more fitting with that dreamscape feel anyway.
The question is, do I make screamer jumpscares, or try to keep them not loud but still jarring and sudden

Working on a horror game and getting convincing knocking SFX scared by a YTP in the background.

Making games for myself.

"Did you mean; 'making games alone'?"

No. Making games, for myself.

"... 'making games as a solo dev'?"

For myself. Made for me, by me.

"... ... 'picking your target audience for game dev solo free engines 2025'?"

Me.

really love the posing on this one so far!
It just says SPAGHETTI insurance over and over again.
And down here in small print it says

I don't consider myself much of a sculptor.
But it is kinda fun to just mold clay or carve stone IRL, or mold polygons in 3D.
Selling games without a "pay what you want or download for free" option is not for me.
Making them works best as a hobby for me, so I don't have to worry about if what I make is slop or not, or successful or not.
I just make stuff I want, and share it if I want.
