I only watch Sewing Bee and at least they do try to show how to recycle things or make stuff out of as small an amount of fabric as possible

That is absolutely it. Nobody would make a thing like that out of super-chunky yarn and it's a completely different way of knitting that doesn't show anything to its best. It's making me furious. They're obviously all wearing stuff they've made which is far more typical of their efforts
