I lived with my dad when I was very young and he didn’t apply for food stamps or free school lunches, though we qualified.

So, I went hungry. It was awful. I begged neighbors for saltine crackers. I can say it was the worst time of my life.

Children shouldn’t go hungry. Restore SNAP benefits.

I’ve used all kinds of masks and never noticed a breathing effort difference between masked or not masked. Except of course, masked made it easier to breath since pollutants weren’t inhaled.

I’m surprised that they didn’t use a crane with a wrecking ball. Use of that claw shows that they don’t plan to preserve anything - it isn’t an ‘attachment’, but rather a replacement of the East Wing.

Group of 4 spent $800… for one meal. We avoid eating out where a meal costs more than $10, but it does happen. Yesterday we had an excellent meal for $7.30.

$200 per person for one meal sounds sinful.

is designated a National Historic Landmark.

That means:

It’s formally recognized as having exceptional national historical significance.

Any substantial changes, demolitions, or new construction affecting it are tightly restricted.
