like i know the cynical response is "it leverages nostalgia and brand recognition for easy sales" but you can still do that. the names of the 7 dwarves are ubiquitous to the story now despite being a disney original, and disney can make a live action snow white and use those dwarf names [...]

the thing that annoys me most abt disney live action remakes is that like. the fairytales. exist in public domain. if you wanna make a live action version of snow white you can just. do that. without making it a live action remake of an existant movie. its free. fairytales are free to make.
