The limited theatre run is common for Netflix because they just show the amount necessary to be able to go to awards, but they don't releasing it before the 31st, a Friday of all days, makes no sense. Unfortunately here is spring in a tropical country, so not a lot of Halloween vibes

If only there were a month when the US (and some people on other parts of the world because of cultural hegemony) dedicated to horror and gothic shit to release this adaptation of one of the most famous gothic horror novel of all times. Alas, November it's.

These are the versions I have and I want at least two more, the one with the Wrightson illustrations and one a critical version made by a publisher that is specialised in gothic literature and have a lot of articles (I love this one from Penguin because of the whole Percy Heart story)

I saw those books and they look fucking gorgeous. Here in Brazil we had one limited run of the novel with the Berni Wrightson ilustrations and it's out of print. I have three diferent versions of the novel and I just backed a crowdfunding for a translation of Mary Shelley's manuscripts

I saw pictures of the exhibit and it looks great. Which makes sense given how the props for Crimson Peak are gorgeous.

I'm afraid I'm not watching this on a big screen, but also it's WILD that Netflix has this movie to be released on their platform November 7th, one week AFTER HALLOWEEN

I've been checking the theatre sites every day just in case, but I don't have a lot of hope of Netflix sending it to Medium Size College Town, Brazil. The novel is one of my favourite books — I almost did my final undergrad project about it and Del Toro is my favourite director

I'm so sad that the movie isn't showing in my city's theaters so I'm having to way for the Netflix release. At least till there I hope I can finish rewatching all of his movies and maybe probably reread the book
