My coworker posted work pictures to a NSFW site but my boss says there's nothing they can do about it

New account because my last one may also be compromised. My work had a meeting a few weeks ago and as part of it they handed out some bullshit "awards" and took pictures. We all participate because there's free food and occasional gift cards. The pictures are only posted in a company news letter that goes out in email.

Idk why I even tried but for some reason I image searched some of the pictures in the news letter. Several of them showed up on a website for NSFW pictures. It primarily showed "candid" (non consensual) photos of women. The comments were pretty vile. Gross comments about people's bodies, requests for account usernames or just "more."

IG & Threads: @ask_aubry I 100% know how did it. I can't say how I know without doxxing him or myself but I had to be him. I took screenshots and forwarded it to my manager but he says there's nothing he can do about it because (he claims) the newsletter is "public" and nothing posted was NSFW even though the website is.

This is stupid for what should be a variety of reasons but I'm just wondering how I should handle this? I emailed our IT guy who's already done a takedown request and is being helpful. I'm confident that'll be handled as best as possible.

What I'm not on with is having to interact with this guy, like ever. He was put in the office temporarily after an injury but it became permanent after a few people quit. He's been on multiple PIPs for both performance and professional reasons. So like why are we keeping him?
