Max, in all fairness, I didn’t write the BBC headline referring to this as “A Level Standard of English” and neither did I write the government’s own press release that describes it as such.

I am fully aware that it is a B2 Level - it’s the actual government that chose to frame it differently.

the year is 2030. a doctor solemnly informs you that you have plastic in your testicles bc millions of people persuaded by celebrity marketing bought synthetic pubic hairs that were eventually consumed by fish that you ate
The Daily Beast writes: "Kim Kardashian's brand SKIMS has sold out its synthetic pubic hair thongs and is now accumulating a waitlist for the product." Their tweet is accompanied by a link to a post with the story.

New tech should be financing the #ui for those it displaces. The removal of any opportunity to create an income will create the type of #techdystopia where no one will be immune.

The USA has a long tradition of ignoring copyright and providence for economic purposes. I realise this is a kettle-colour situation but if we are modelling the future of ‘us’, surely ethics should come into play.

Not paying for a product you exploit to sell your product is theft; not paying for labour you employ is slavery. If your business model is theft and slavery, you’re not an industry. You’re a pirate. Perhaps this is techno-cynicism.
No, this is basic economics.

AI might be creating a ‘permanent underclass’ but it’s the makers of the tech bubble who are replaceable | Van Badham
Despite the relentless insistence of tech’s grifters, AI is not industrially inevitable – or even sustainable. Which is why it is time to push back

The Portland Frog army has now infiltrated Tulsa, OK and they’ve made an unlikely alliance with the T-Rex infantry and Sharks on Hoverboards mercenary forces.

This is truly terrifying.

The guy who threatened Nigel Farage has been sent to jail for 5 years for a Social Media post.

There will of course be dead silence, or cheers about this from the 'Free Speech' brigade.

The Spectator (owned by GBNews owner Paul Marshall - estimated wealth of £800 million) doesn’t like taxing wealth fairly.

I wonder how they got to this editorial decision?

Let’s tax wealth fairly, fund front line services & make hope normal again.

Sunak saddled us with 25 year contracts with Freeports that's why Labour says we can't join the single market. And my local MP confirmed it. We have been really stitched up. UK Freeports are incompatible with EU ones because companies pay no tax on customs and excise.

if only we could collectively agree as an ethical point that no-one comes out of war looking good, ban the notion of victory, life would be far better.
how small we are.

You can read more on ADF and how the backlash against abortion rights globally is funded by US and others in my (sadly far too) prescient book!

The right-wing campaign group that helped topple Roe v Wade in the US is now working to roll back abortion laws in the UK, with the help of Nigel Farage.

Its first step? Trying to create a debate around "free speech"
