Anyway I cannot begin to describe how insane I feel basically living in an entirely different world from everyone else for the last 6 years. Many people could be doing a lot better about COVID safety and it’s very depressing that people are not. Wearing a mask is so fucking easy.

We had a model in our biology class about how bad journalists are about reporting on and talking about science and medicine information and it’s constantly proven right to me when I see shit like this lmao.

yeah, i think a commitment to public health obligates you to get vaccinated and, when you are sick, do what you can to avoid spreading that to other people. the demand that one mask at all times in public spaces is, i think, unreasonable.

(and i think it is a demand that stems from fear more than a rational assessment of the threat environment)

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Baraa. Baraa is the mother of 3 children Masa, 6, Ibrahim, 4 and Maha, 7 months. Tragically Maha was killed after a nearby bombing caused gasses to overwhelm her little lungs. Masa is in the hospital because of kidney issues from malnutrition.
