You're not wrong - I feel like there's been a cultural shift in the fandom where that kind of playspace is less cultivated and available than it used to be, not just because our personal priorities have shifted, but because expectations in the fandom have also shifted to be more normalized.

Some of you may recognize the protagonist, Pepper. He's not just the character @scout-bunny.bsky.social - Pepper shows up in a lot of different projects in a lot of different ways - he's been a LARP character, countless helpful TTRPG NPCs, an Improbably Islander, and now a squire at Cliffmore Keep.

The son of a rabbit merchant who is unexpectedly sent away to Cliffmore Keep to train as a squire, despite having no formal combat training or ambitions in that field.
It's a coming of age story that started out as a stupid fluff writing exercise that spiraled out of control into something bigger.
