Pop Culture Crossed Wires: when I was in 8th grade, I saw the video for They Might Be Giants "Birdhouse In Your Soul" and I convinced myself that John Flansburgh was in the cast of Revenge of the Nerds. I took this as fact for much longer than I'm willing to admit.

Saw the Minecraft movie with my kids. What an experience!
- 2 PM screening, theater was PACKED
- Most of the audience was in Minecraft clothes + swords
- Audience broke out into applause >TEN times
(I don't know know why. Seemed like they were psyched to hear specific things mentioned) (1/2)

Had a great Oscars last night. Unfortunately not my best showing: 16 our 23. It was an insanely close pool. My big flaws were not getting Documentary, Animated, Film Editing and not picking Mikey Madison. Other categories were a coin flip + I just picked the wrong ones. Happy to see ANORA do well!
