The phrase "intellectual desert" comes to mind... I think social media in its brevity turbocharges the natural psychological desire not to have gaps;to jump to conclusions. Yes, all gaps get filled but are you fulfilling those gaps or just dumping verbal offal into them?

When I was a kid we used to go out picking wild black berries...The whole family. It was tough when I was little bc I'd get stuck in all the briars. But Grandma would always fix a cobbler from them. The next day. We'd freeze the rest for the holidays.

My garden is almost dormant, but there are still blackberries ripening, which is a perfect dessert in itself, just heat them up a bit and add ice cream =)
