The arrangement for mail-in ballots for Alberta's municipal elections is bad, VERY bad, due to Canada Post strike and total lack of accommodations.

It has made voting extremely inaccessible for disabled folks in particular. This is a curtailment of a fundamental democratic right.

I began writing this story with a naive question in mind: What do we lose when public education is privatized? A lot, actually.

By following the MAGA playbook, the UCP’s push against public education not only undermines democracy, it jeopardizes the possibility of a better future for all Albertans.

My friend who served a month in Gaza this past January was denied entry by the Israelis to get in and serve another rotation at the Gaza Hospital. So the tricks are still coming folks.....

Reconciliation is often used by settlers to distance themselves from colonial culpability.

However, reconciliation is deeper, it is an invitation to repair broken relationships; to live in a good way between all things.

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, (but not in Alberta cause racism.)

Created in haste w/o consultation w/ Indigenous People as a way to assuage white guilt following the discovery of more unmarked graves at residential schools across the country.
