Sometimes a man just needs to carve some time out for himself and read Orson Welles wiki page from top to bottom.
Same. If you get the other one and read it, give me the verdict! I'll see if I can dig out that essay about Iain White, it was really cool.
Afterword which spoke about him. He sounds like a strange guy!
No, it's by Scott Nicolay. He's been doing all the Jean Rays chronologically. Next one out later this year. Ive only read them in Dutch (they're originally French) and they're more fun in English, but less funny. Iain White did the original translation (and the one Atlas use). Nicolay did a small ..
It's great. Think Wakefield Press still have stock on their recentish translation. I'm in the Jean Ray fan club here in Ghent. So always trying to force it on ppl (incl. Iain Sinclair when I walked with him) haha
Ah nice Malpertuis! You ever read the book?
Good man! Will order.
I'll check him out! Any collection / book you'd suggest? I've been psychotically deep into TS Eliot again, with sojourns with Ted Hughes.
Regrettably, this is actually my day job. Off to a personal care giant right now to inspire the next range of premium shavers.
"look guys, I love milk, but where's the brand identity that can resonate? How is 'milk' scalable? How can we achieve next year's growth figures with just 'milk'. No we need milk, milk that hits - milk with a purpose"
Oat milk exists only for the mouth feel (industry term). For the boardroom, experience of taste > everything else imaginable
Nah, just over Zoom. Was him and Max. Doing something for The Quietus, more in line with the European launch of the book, which I think is coming closer?
Amazing. I spoke with him Monday for a piece and found his solidity and depth in describing his constructs beguiling. I can't wait to read this interview
Still the most utterly deranged and beautiful leap for a singular meaning across Shakespeare's oeurve
I've always been mesmerised by how much of a shadow he is to Tom Cruise. Like if you laid an inverse TC tarot card down
I wish I hadn't already written about this, so I could write about it again.
Album of the goddamn year

The Jerskin Fendrix is a late(ish, I guess) album of the year shout. I think an album about the profoundest grief, by someone who is genuinely very very funny, is exactly what the doctor ordered
Album of the goddamn year
Honestly, like top two
Jordan Pickford kept his eighth clean sheet in a row for England in the 3-0 win over Wales, breaking the record previously held by Gordon Banks.

Where does he rank among England's best-ever goalkeepers?

Luke, you just described my weekend, every weekend
I have an electric cargo bike (so the kid sits at the front). It's a game changer. You're right, it's huge. And if I didn't have a dedicated bike lane and had to weave in and out of traffic, I'd be toast. We have a garage so I can store it, but not sure how that would be possible in London.
