When you can't stand whole tomatoes on a pizza, so you go to the effort of picking them off, mixing them with minced garlic, olive oil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Then cooking them down into their own sauce that you're able to spread back onto the pizza.

It's kind of weird being called a pillar of my community. But weird in a really good way.

When you've been through a meat grinder in life? When you outlast everything and everyone that tried to keep you down?

It has you taking a moment to ask "Is this real?"

It's weird in a rewarding kind of way.

Meanwhile...Alaska just got slammed by a fucking typhoon with Category 4 winds.

I've been to more than my share of old growth forests in my time.

But nothing is as striking as seeing MASSIVE old growth trees with a base as wide as a school bus growing 4,000-8,000 feet above sea level.

That's what makes Giant Sequoias so unique, even compared to Coast Redwoods.

Hedonism isn't really a bad thing under the context of post-scarcity.

When there's more than enough to go around? We can all celebrate life by being as merry, flamboyant, and indulgent as we want.

We shouldn't settle for just surviving. When we truly deserve to thrive.

We truly deserve the best.

Ooooh? In recent Japanese news, the Komeito party pulled out of backing the LDP.

Without their support, the LDP no longer has a majority in parliament.

This is a good sign. It means Sanae Takaichi, the new right-wing extremist leader of the LDP, might not become the next PM.

There's a stern difference between knowing something and assuming something.

Knowing something means you put effort into acquiring the knowledge to understand it.

Assuming something means not making any effort. Just a reflexive impulse without any thought or substance.

This stuff is going $13 a bag, and you can just dig up entire swaths of the plant in southern states and make it all into starch.

All you gotta do after that is burn the remains so it doesn't grow back.

Kudzu is a rampant invasive plant in the US.

But get this. Kudzu roots are a magnificent source of starch. In China, Japan, and Southeast Asia especially, Kudzu is used the same way we would use corn starch.

What's a good way to deal with invasive species in general? Eating them!

The bowl on the left? There's no doubting that's a dragon's bowl.

But the bowl on the right? Definitely the kind of bowl a kobold would use. It just has that fitting whimsical feel to it. xP
