Still not quite ready to sit at the desktop thanks to my overindulgence in port and pigs livers so I got a Chromebook on overnight delivery and have been using it today to put together an upcoming show. Nice little bit of kit for $170. Not sure if I want to attempt a Linux/Audacity install just yet

I was kind of "haha, funny throwback song" when I first heard it but then when I listened to the lyrics I realized just what an amazing song it is. An excellent choice for the season and thematically a perfect fit for what Chris went through.

I mean it's a movie and I've never made a movie so I really don't have a right to criticize but at the same time it just doesn't resonate with me. The (I know) fake nature of it is just a bit too "clever" for my tastes.

But there'd probably be no Maxxxine without it so...

When I was in my early 20s and unemployable I'd spend my days renting VHS movies. It was always a joy to find a Full Moon Pictures or Empire Entertainment title, as you knew exactly what you'd get.

I don't think Charles Band gets enough recognition for his contribution to the VHS rental boom.

I watched it for Barbara. She did not disappoint but after that I have to admit I kind of checked out, as I found the whole style over substance thing was just too heavy handed and "clever" for its own good.

Die Farbe aka The Color. It's genuinely quite disturbing as it delves into the ideas of madness and the loss of sanity much more than many other adaptations.

One of my favorite HPL stories. There's an excellent German adaptation that's well worth a watch and is probably the closest to the original story.

SORRY TO HEAR THAT!!!!

I'm not so bad. Stumbling about a bit on the tail end of a gout attack so I bought a little Chromebook so I could at least do some notes and research from bed.

And I thought being hungover was the natural state of the Scotch people... 😉😆
