There is a Singapore link to the recent multi-billion-dollar scam out of Cambodia, with the Monetary Association of Singapore now investigating. The MAS told Bloomberg News that “we are looking into whether there have been any breaches of MAS’ requirements in relation to this case.” Regulators in Singapore are left piecing together how Chen managed to weave a billion-dollar empire of crypto scams, property deals, and tax incentives into a network that touched some of the city’s most reputable institutions without being stopped.

During the trip, I was exposed to disability theology after visiting Rajanagarindra Institute of Child Development (RICD) and Stronger Together. I learned from the host, Joey, that it is not only about outreach opportunities, but it should be integral to our discipleship and church life. The National Basketball Association has returned to China for the first time in six years with two preseason games in Macau. The Brooklyn Nets played the Phoenix Suns, and the Suns won the first game 132-127, while the Nets won the next game 111-109. The Nets have a strong connection to China; they are owned by Joe Tsai, one of the co-founders of Alibaba Group.

Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado won the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for fighting dictatorship in the country over United States President Donald Trump. President Trump had claimed the award, over claims he ended several wars, including the Cambodia-Thailand & India-Pakistan conflicts and also the Israel-Gaza War.

Logos International School is planning to develop an Expected School-wide Learning Result (ESLR) index to measure spiritual maturity in its students. From an Instagram post released on Friday, Logos revealed that the six key aims of the exercise are to ensure students build a growing relationship with Christ as their personal Saviour, find his/her identity in Christ, appreciate the Bible as the inspired Word of God, participate in service and evangelism, and share and defend his/her beliefs, make moral and ethical decisions based on a biblical worldview and recognize the importance of a well-balanced spiritual, emotional, and physical lifestyle.

A Myanmar military strike on a festival and demonstration has reportedly killed at least 20 people. Witnesses at the scene said that the attack was carried out by a motorised paraglider. This comes ahead of the supposed elections on December 28 and an ASEAN meeting next month in which the Myanmar military junta is expected to attend, alongside the United States President Donald Trump, to mark a peace treaty between Cambodia and Thailand.

Cambodia and Thailand remained locked in a tense stand-off as the deadline for the evacuation of Cambodian border settlements expired with no mass movement of civilians. Meanwhile, Cambodian authorities and residents say they have cut utilities such as electricity and water to areas illegally occupied by Thai forces, while Thailand’s government has authorised its military to remove what it calls “illegal settlers”.
