In 2017, CETYS was looking into joining the NCAA (likely D2), following Simon Fraser in Canada. The pandemic caused havoc for those plans, though CETYS has been successful in ONEFA's lower division (meanwhile Simon Fraser ended up dropping football).

D3's Whittier Poets returns to football next season, and hosts an int'l exhibition game in week 2 against ONEFA's Zorros CETYS from Mexicali.

D2 Kentucky State & Franklin Pierce planned to play in Mayaguez on the west coast of the island (not San Juan) but rescheduled their 10/18 game for Rindge, NH—better known as the Mayaguez of the Granite State!🏝️

Trent Dilfer's 2.5-year tenure saw UAB go 9-21 and 5-14 in conference.

Coincidentally, Hugh Freeze is also 5-14 in conference at Auburn.

In fact, both have identical conf records, going 3-5, 2-6, and are 0-3.
