But I already bad the bad vibe from the trailers. In future I listen to my gut with reviews as a double check.

I know it might seem like a basic thing for humans to do, but especially on social media I'm glad to see a bit of explanation and understanding and nuance over the typical absolutism. It's nice.

But like, people have to be aware (including myself) when that discourse is twisted or just straight up antisemitism hides behind "I said Israeli not Jewish!".

Equivocating Israeli with Jewish, given the (very bad) actions of Israel, is always just gonna leave a bad taste - it can be antisemitic.

For what it's worth I don't think cultural appropriation discourse re: Israel is always displaced; it does do a lot of colonialism in all typical ways.
