The original claim made by Kaufman assumes that transgender persons would self identify as nonbinary over male or female is makes him either intellectually dishonest or mistaken in his beliefs.
And more to the point as @
Ben Ryan (@benryanwriter on Twitter) points out, the study asks respondents to identify as male, female and "nonbinary", with transgender not an actual option.
Maybe Hong Kong influencers speaking in a language that doesn't differentiate between the words "sex" and "gender" are not qualified to comment on topics they know nothing about.
