If y'all vulture culture folks want to practice your hobby without accidentally violating federal wildlife laws, you are always welcome to reach out to me I do provisional assessment on this stuff for free.
Anyway. All my support to a lot of much better candidates presently running for office all around the country. Washington we have some good choices to make, so we better fucking make them. To my colleagues in Red/Purple areas. I wish you best luck
I think it's reasonable to expect that those with shitty pasts have a HELL of a lot more work to do to earn your vote. I won't argue that.
But I just don't see a way forward if there's no amount of work that can be done.
That's the fascism and violence I'm fucking worried about right now. Because it's, for the most part "normal" and permitted by the "experienced and poised and inoffensive" politicians.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I've been reading to much Huey Long lately.
Something has to Meaningfully change. Fast
But the thing is, the most odious violence, at least to me, is the centrist brand. Bob Iger saying that people should lose their homes during the strike. Zuckerberg buying as much of Hawaii as he can. Mike Johnson starving people on food stamps. Gavin Newsome robbing homeless people
Our culture from the ground up absolutely worships violence. The right wants to do violence against everything left of theocratic fascism, the left wants the "glorious revolution" and the center pretends it doesn't want violence until a protest or a homeless person is visible.
Liberal/Democrat leadership in these tries to embrace more of the "high tech professional badassitude" while Conservative leadership leans in the Hegseth bullshit of it all. And our media ecosystem leans into both of these HARD. Which perpetuates the cycle.
The US Military enlisted service (as well as DHS and the various private military groups) historically ruthlessly prey on unambitious, unskilled men and often they get in and are drowned in misogyny, racism, all the isms, by design. Because it's part of the machismo of it
In 10 years from now I'd really love to work on a society that doesn't *glrk glrk* the concept of military service so fucking hard? I was raised, completely fucking inundated in that shit and I saw what it made my peers into! It fucking Bloooooooows
Personally I think it's a HUGE problem the culture that is created in order to attract young men to enlist in the US Military and the fact that our culture overall celebrates those with military service immediately going into politics sucks too! However that is also the culture we live in right now
If you want to radicalize change global society, you're going to need to make alliances with people who
A. Have made a bunch of stupid choices in the past but have, at least, vocally comitted to making up for that
B. Kinda piss you off a lot of the time.
Every sucessful revolution has had to do this
It just seems like a lot of folks who aggressively call for "violent revolution as it's the only path forward" seem really fucking uneducated on the coalitions of people that did that in the past and have therefore become SHOCKINGLY easy to manipulate with minimal effort.
Damn a lot of folks who last year claimed to want a Smedley Butler seem to be really reticent to engage with the real world experience that radicalized Smedley Butler.

Kinda wild that Mamdani and Sliwa are the guys who won their primaries and there has been open, nonstop meddling to overturn that will of the voters and install the disgraced former governor and it’s largely being covered like this is perfectly normal shit
No no no you don't understand, I don't want to BE the He/Him Lesbian Great Khan of my visions, my destiny is as the Scheming Vizier to the He/Him Lesbian Great Khan of my visions, I just need to FIND the He/Him Lesbian Great Khan from my Portents
I do not think this man should hold municipal power over a large group of people, but I can respect that he actually believes his method is going to improve the lives of those people (I believe he is incorrect in that assessment) rather than just enrich himself
Sliwa represents a thing increasingly rare in this society, a Conservative I can respect.
Curtis Silwa was asked if he felt okay with losing and contributing to Zohran Mamdani’s victory and he responded by laying into Bill Ackman and Andrew Cuomo.

Sorry, it’s fucking weird to talk about eating someone’s pet, even if they are a “food” animal. Dogs and cats are eaten in some places too, but it certainly isn’t seen as acceptable to talk about making a meal of them in the comments of a pet photoshoot.

The product is just dependence on mind poison. Study after study has shown people using GPT think they are more productive but are empirically not. It is just a button you press that delivers hits of dopamine completely unrelated to the world around you.

Friends, the Miami Seaquarium was a facility with a horrific animal welfare record. I will not miss it.

But it shutting down is absolutely not "a huge milestone win for ocean conservation." Words mean things. Conservation refers to species or populations not going extinct.
As an educational discipline, we put too much weight on media that is not fun or pleasant to read and it drives normies away from wanting to read more.
There's a lot of miserable novels that, while narratively very effective and with well written prose. We make too centric to high school reading curricula and it does harm to literacy by making young people think reading is supposed to be dour and miserable.
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat
Eeeeeeheeeheeeheeheeheehee
Anyone I know on here play Path of Titans? Looks like it could be fun but I never hear folks discussing it really.
