I decided today I'd implement a save system for To Wander Theoma, only to discover Inform 7 has a built-in saving system! Guess I can check that one off. I'll continue implementing costs, and today's big feature will be the daywork system for earning money.

Ugh. Audible has so many AI-voiced books. Stuff I'd love to listen to, but I don't want to listen to an AI voice. Then, it got worse. I discovered it had an AI-authored AI-voiced book listed. I don't want an LLM's take on philosophy!

When we write or draw porn or erotica, we get banned from having a bank account and our livelihoods get seized even if we give it away for free.

When billionaires steal what we've written or drawn to churn out a slop-approximate of porn, they're allowed to charge for it.

Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year

We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

I dreamed of going to a gay bar with two friends to talk about an RPG sourcebook that I had written. It was a furry mecha RPG and I'd made my Ermolai one of the stock characters in it. It was a fun dream, but I have not actually written an RPG sourcebook.

Okay, the staycation model of To Wander Theoma is now updated with the option to wander in the wilderness near the city for some free entertainment that has no cooldown. One thing about Theoma is that it's relatively sparse! There's nature of some sort near every city.

Weather prototype complete. I've filled out the weather table for the first city. I'll fill in each city as I get to it. For now, this is part of the staycation model describing the first city in detail.

Wait, if I make it with 3,408 entries, I can clearly differentiate precipitation weathers from non-precipitation weathers. I'll go with that.

The larger number of table entries was an excess precision error. I don't need to specify the weather that closely. I even noticed myself making errors while dealing with the excessive precision. If I'm going to put the wrong weather in, might as well do less work while I'm at it.
