Today is a very special day - @HistoricEngland launched a Blue Plaque to honour the Rev. Wilbert Awdry at his house on Rodborough Avenue - the creator of Thomas the Tank Engine.

We bought his original Ffarquhar Branch back to Stroud for the first time in 30 years to celebrate!

The station may have changed a lot over the last 160 years, but has changed lots of lives in the process!

Oliver the Great Western Engine has arrived at Elsbridge Junction looking worried. Henry the Green Engine and Thomas the Tank Engine both look annoyed and confused. The passengers on the platforms appear to be thinking the same thing...

Oliver the Western Engine stands at the platform of Ffarquhar station with a single coach. He looks pleased with himself. Thomas the Tank Engine waits in the runaround loop with Annie and Clarabel. He does *not* look pleased at being delayed.
