The impact of this PTCL maintenance activity can be seen in Internet Quality measurements. Around 08:00 UTC (13:00 local), median bandwidth dropped in half and median latency nearly doubled. A 41% drop in traffic was also observed ~16:00 UTC.

Traffic on Vodafone UK started to recover at around 16:00 UTC, with both AS5378 and AS25135 seeing increasing traffic. The outage lasted approximately two hours.

At ~14:00 UTC, @VodafoneUK effectively dropped off the Internet, with traffic dropping to zero. No word from the provider on outage cause, and their network status checker page is currently unavailable.

UPDATE: It appears that #Internet connectivity is being restored in #Afghanistan, as traffic began to flow again around 11:45 UTC (16:15 local time), nearly two full days after being shut down.

After the earlier disruption, #Internet connectivity in #Afghanistan was cut completely just after 12:30 UTC, with a total loss of traffic. Announced IPv4 and IPv6 address space has also dropped signifcantly.

Nightly #Internet disruptions have been occurring in Herat, Afghanistan since Monday. Traffic has dropped by more than half each evening between 21:00-08:00 local (16:30-03:30 UTC).

MCIT Afghanistan has not provided a reason for these outages.

Subscribers of Nayatel experienced a ~90 minute disruption to #Internet connectivity today, due to an outage at an upstream provider. Traffic dropped as much as 57% between ~09:15-10:45 UTC (14:15-15:45 local).

Damage to three power cables by a contractor caused a multi-hour power outage in #Gibraltar. #Internet traffic begain to fall after 11:15 UTC, dropping as much as 80%. It returned to expected levels around 18:30 UTC.

The share of request traffic with post-quantum support from Apple iOS devices has more than doubled since iOS 26 was made available for download yesterday. Although still low, we expect continued growth as more devices are updated over the coming days.

Multiple reports of a brief #Starlink outage earlier this morning corroborated by a significant drop in HTTP requests between 04:00-05:00 UTC.

Large burst of #BGP announcements seen at that time as well. Announced IP address space also saw some shifts.

South African Internet provider RSAWEB acknowledged an issue that is impacting FTTx and Enterprise connections on their network, resuling in a complete outage. Internet traffic from the network dropped to zero at 15:00 UTC.

According to the Cuban Electric Union, an unexpected outage of the Antonio Guiteras thermoelectric power plant caused a national power outage in #Cuba at 09:14 local (13:14 UTC). The impact is clearly visible in the drop in Internet traffic starting at that time.
