followers i haven't followed back yet, there are more of you than i'm used to and i'm a bit overwhelmed (i'm easily overwhelmed). it's not personal and i generally do follow back if we interact, but if i don't do it right away, i tend to forget. i appreciate you all (except the musk impersonators).
the present-day european monarchs are mostly ornamental, we keep them around as insurance against getting our own versions of trump installed as heads of state. it's an anachronistic system and far from ideal, but might be the lesser evil after all. (i'm *not* pro monarchy, but pragmatic about it)
i'm on the wrong continent and can't adopt your giant inflatable lobster, but it's giving me ideas about distractions and camouflage and hiding things in plain view.

like if you want a life partner for establishing a family you have to assume they'll care about your financial situation. can you provide for yourself? can you contribute your fair share to provide for a family? this will definitely influence how attractive any potential partners will find you.
i'm not a big fan of being outdoors in the rain (i used to work outdoors a lot and spent too much time wet and cold in the rain), but as long as i don't have to go outside, rain is the best.
i mean, just look at the majestic cockburn range, of course you want that in the background when wrapping up the story. and having your characters travelling towards it feels so right. but that's the way *towards* darwin, and they're supposed to be going home *from* darwin at this point.
even worse, a couple of years ago baz luhrman added even more crap to it and made a 4-hour series out of it. and i have an almost endless capacity for movies/shows set in the outback, but that's too much even for me.
(also they cross the pentecost river the wrong way at the end and that bugs me.)
