The biggest issue with the PFF discourse is not establishing the audiences. PFF grades aren't meant to out perform former players or NFL Front offices. They are meant to balance speed and accuracy. There will be misses, but I trust them more than Joe Schmo on social media.
I've talked himself into Newsome. I don't know what the plan for Miami's defense is, but he was pretty good in zone his first 3 years, and his down year could be tied to getting surgery on his hamstring over the summer.
Note to self: When traveling out of the country, I should've done my currency exchange last week instead of putting it off...
I think I've seen 18 months as the "full" recovery from Achilles, or 1.5 Jaelan Phillips recovery timelines. The fan base will lose its mind but it'd be a great gamble.
Did you yell "Kobe" before nailing that shot?
That makes sense. I figured Fanning didn't meet the top 100 threshold, but Starks and Banks definitely should. I'd take both if we found a great trade with someone wanting to come up for a falling player(Cincy, Denver, LAC) but at 13 it makes me uncomfy.
No Harold Fanning Jr, Kelvin Banks Jr., or Malaki Starks is interesting. Does this factor in the likely draft pick they'd require?
You got me more intrigued by Becton, but I was a big fan of Will Hernandez already. I think I'd prefer Makari over Becton based on their PFF contract projections, but maybe I should revisit Becton and his injury woes.

For the draft, I like Colby day 3 & liked hearing Banks Jr. comped to AJ too.
If you were to do some research on OL hitting FA that the Dolphins could be targeting, who would you suggest?

For science purposes, of course...
I agree, to an extent. I'm not a fan of Booker at 13, but I think there's an argument for a tackle we put on the Tunsil trajectory is the right middle ground. Guard is a glaring issue, but is our tackle group something we should take pride in? Banks R1 and Connor Colby Day 3 with 2 FAs to rebuild it
If the Miami Dolphins go OL in the first, I'd like to think they'll be looking at Xavier Watts(Saf, ND) and Deone Walker(DT, Kentucky) for potential second round player. Both fit the mold Grier has looked for in the second: Starter at a low impact position, or high upside at a premium position
Fans are focused on results and ignore the process and circumstances. It's why Grier gets hit with jokes about injury prone players, when Connor Williams and Robert Hunt were pretty healthy until 2023.

We have issues in our process we should fix, and we've had bad luck, but the team isn't far off.
Top 5 priorities for the Dolphins, entering the off-season:

Guard
Safety
TE
DT
LB

If a trade for Tyreek happens, I don't see a change in priority. With an offensive "guru" as our HC, we should be able to address our issues on offense indirectly. Back-up QB is the same mindset.

OL continuity scores for 2024. No team started the same 5 OL in all 17 games. Closest was the Ravens, who changed LG/RT in Week 4.

Patriots tie for the second-most OL starters in a season since 1999 with 13. 2022 Rams had 14.
Really hoping we trade Tyreek to NE for their third, or to swap firsts with Carolina. I really think it can accelerate a shift away from our offensive inconsistencies the last two years, and into more reliable and controlled offensive possessions. We have talent, we need compliments though.
Pete does not get enough credit for the offense they built in Seattle. I wonder if they mimic his Seattle tenure by signing a free agent bridge QB then drafting someone on day 2 to address the massive need at QB.
Orande Gadsen II is gonna be a fun day 3 pick up for someone. Nostalgia at an all time high but not the biggest fan of his skill set with the current roster. Maybe if Tyreek to New England becomes a reality.
Reviewed Kelvin Banks Jr. against Georgia from earlier in the season, he'd be my sprint to the podium pick for the Dolphins right now. Not a finished product, not a long term project either. Would help the resource limited 2025 Dolphins and add flexibility to the unit long term.
Reddit good.

Redditors questionable.
Today is a good day to watch Inglorious Basterds.
