Former diplomat Giorgi Tsikarishvili, Georgia’s ex-ambassador to France and Romania, has been arrested on Rustaveli Avenue for alleged road-blocking. He headed the Euro-Atlantic Integration Department at the Foreign Affairs Ministry. He left the ministry in June.

Several arrests tonight in Georgia, among them Zura Menteshashvili (70+) who finished serving his 5-day administrative detention yesterday. Today, this is his second arrest for allegedly blocking the road, which could mean a criminal sentence of up to 1 year.
