California just banned employers from forcing workers to pay a debt, fee, or penalty to leave their job.

Bosses have increasingly been trapping workers with debts incurred in training and other exploitative fees.

Now that's illegal in the nation's biggest state.

Hahahahahahah sonic bad joke in big 2025.

Games are like dogs. There are no bad games, only bad players.

Oh wait, forgot about Sonic.

Uhhhhh

What's the worst game you finished/rolled credits on?

(games media folks, it can't be something you were assigned to review; this has to be something you subjected yourself to of your own free will)

While also enjoying the simplicity of the experience.

If you are ingrained in the pc market then yeh. But im sure there isnt much a console make could do to get someone who plays on pc to invest in a console. Hence why they dont mind putting their games on there. I find it a good investment because i get games also on disc which i cant do on pc

Yeah this gen almost ever single game has a performance mode. And most game run at a stable frame rate. So that hasn’t really been a problem for me in the last 5 years. In fact a lot of games run worse on pc nowadays at least when I talk to my friends they are always complaining about performance

That point. We are just in the time period where nothing seriously new can happen anymore. Not that we won’t get orginal ideas from people. But the bones will always be about the same. The meat will be the deciding factor,

Then 100 years ago is probably the last time books ever had some serious innovation because the morals of the time where changing but the writing is still incredibly modern hell the great Gatsby 100 this year. There is nothing new under sun and video games being 50 years old means we are getting to

If you read a book from 20 years ago it’s about the same as a book from today because 20 years ago was 2005. I. The 50: pacing was slower but books from the 70s still hold up. Sophie’s choice, the shining, jaws and many more that funnily enough got turned into movies.

Movie ticket sales aren’t down because the stagnated they are down because the pandemic happend and people have gotten conditioned to watching movies at home. New amazing movie come out every year. Books at the end of the day are stories.

I wanted to play Spiderman with decent frame rates so I bought a ps5 at launch. Then I got introduced to their other exclusives and fell in love with them too 🤷🏾‍♂️
pointingoutobvious.bsky.social
Ok then don’t get one. If they aren’t releasing games that interest you that’s fine. You seem to be a pc gamer nothing wrong with that. And you also seem to have different taste than what Sony wants to produce primarily which is also fine.👍🏾
pointingoutobvious.bsky.social
Ok, that’s the idea if you don’t care about playing PlayStation games day one you don’t need a PlayStation which is fine. Dosent mean the gen is bad or the games are bad. Just means more people get to play the game later. It’s not really a negative.
pointingoutobvious.bsky.social
I didn’t say ps5 exclusive I said console exclusive. Which means the other consoles don’t have it.
pointingoutobvious.bsky.social
I just want to pick the game and start it and not have to do research to see if it runs on my hardware how’s the port how much dlss am i gonna have to use. Wait is frame gen required?
pointingoutobvious.bsky.social
I had to spend hours getting fallout 76 to run at a decent framerate going into the fucking files to get it to work. Tons of older games have obnoxious issues on new hardware. Modern pc gamers have a shitton of shader stutter and shoty pc ports.
pointingoutobvious.bsky.social
Pc isn’t a console it’s a completely different ecosystem. But if it ain’t on Xbox or switch the direct competition it’s a console exclusive.
pointingoutobvious.bsky.social
My argument isn’t that everyone should buy a ps5 it’s that the rhetoric that the “ps5 has no games” is completely overblown. If you prefer pc stick with pc.
pointingoutobvious.bsky.social
I mean yeah def stick to pc PlayStation games come there anyway. The reason to buy a PlayStation would be to play those games first. I have a pc a PlayStation and a switch. But I end up buy most my games on PlayStation cause pc is such a hassle. Preferences are valid.

I guess I hard disagree there have been tons of great AAA games this gen. There have been great indies too. They both have bangers and stinkers every year.
pointingoutobvious.bsky.social
From playstion the only live services that we got where helldivers 2 which is a great game and concord which unreleased. Then there marathon next year. I know they canceled a bunch of projects and wasted a lot of money on live service. But it’s not like they dominate the release cadence.
pointingoutobvious.bsky.social
Especially in the first few years of the console where just like the ps5 it was a lot of remasters.
pointingoutobvious.bsky.social
I guess the amount of good games is different for me. Because when I think of the ps4 gen there are about 5 great first party games. Spider-Man, GoW, GoT, Uncharted 4, and depending on who you ask last of us 2 or horizon. So it’s not like the ps4 gen had a new game every month.
